A couple of months after meeting Brenna at Greg and Nicole’s wedding in Ontario, I received an email from her inquiring about a family portrait session. Brenna and her siblings decided that family portraits would be a perfect birthday present for their mother. I definitely have to agree!
Photographs which evoke memories, love, and laughter, are one of the most valuable gifts we can give to our loved ones, particularly to our mothers!
We met up at Edworthy Park in Calgary late one afternoon. I haven’t spent too much time at Edworthy Park, but after exploring it a bit, I think it is a great spot for photography! There are some nice natural grassland areas, a canopy of tall evergreens, and train tracks – just make sure to have a spotter for the trains that rush by frequently!
You all look fantastic – I’m glad we were able to sneak these in before the snow hit!
Max is three, and he is a sweet little guy! A little shy, but his mom and dad, and auntie and uncle were able to coax smiles out of him! His little sister Marlowe is just a few months old.
If you can round up all your siblings, mothers will always love an image like this, no matter what age you are.
Sam is married to Rob, and Max and Marlowe are their little ones. You are a beautiful family!
Such lovely autumn colours in these portraits of Brenna and Nathan!
This is one of the prints they chose for their mother – so lovely!
Edworthy Park also has a few playgrounds, and lots of wide open spaces for playing baseball and frisbee in.
